Step 5: Director of Undergraduate Studies Reviews Petition
The Director of Undergraduate Studies will review petitions and either approve/deny whether course(s) can be used to satisfy lower-divison/upper-division elective major/minor requirements.
Step 6: Anthropology Undergraduate Advisor Processes Coursework in MyUCSC and Completes Petition
- Anthropology Undergraduate Advisor processes "Other Credit Quick" to indicate satisfaction of course prerequisite.
- Anthropology Undergraduate Advisor processes "Requirement Waiver" in Academic Advising Report to indicate that major/minor is satisfied.
- If Office of Admissions processed credit transferred from another institution, Anthropology Undergraduate Advisor processes "Course Directive" in Academic Advising Report to indicate that one elective is satisfied.
- If Office of Admissions has not processed credit transferred from another institution, Anthropology Undergraduate Advisor processes "Requirement Waiver" in Academic Advising Report to indicate that one elective is satisfied.
Step 7: Student saves the completed form for their records.
The student will receive the completed DocuSign petition indicating whether each course is approved or denied. If denied, there will be a brief explanation.
