Global Health, Environmental Anthropology, Medical Anthropology, Anthropology of Waste, ecological thought, multi-species ethnography, and activist movements. My dissertation research examines the water and waste pollution crisis in East Africa. I am also conducting applied research in Uganda on biofertilizers, agroecology movements, and circular economies.
I received the United States Composting Council's H. Clark Gregory Award (2019) for public outreach and grassroots efforts to promote composting, in recognition of my international advocacy work.
