Before moving to Santa Cruz, I spent the majority of my life in the heart of Tejaztlan (San Antonio & Austin, TX). Throughout my undergraduate career at UT-Austin, the majority of my work was centered on researching and engaging with oral history methodologies, women of color feminism and critical gender studies. In both my previous and current research I am interested in looking at expressive cultural forms as nodes of socio-political identity formations using critical ethnographic and radical feminist methodologies. Through my work I hope to integrate my scholarship and activism.
