Online Wait Lists for Spring 2013 Anthropology Courses

*Please note: Wait lists, campus wide, do NOT open until Monday March 18th at 9am. 

Information about wait lists, including how to sign-up for a wait list and how the wait lists differ, can be found at the http://registrar.ucsc.edu/faqs/students/wait-list/index.html Students access online wait lists through the enrollment section of their MyUCSC portal. Not all instructors choose to use this new feature so NOT ALL COURSES HAVE ONLINE WAIT LISTS.

Anthropology courses in the Spring that will have an online wait list are listed below. 

Again, students will need to log on to their MyUCSC on 3/18 at 9am to complete the process.

1.) Courses that will use an AUTO ENOLL wait list (students are automatically enrolled in the class from the wait list):

130B, 131, 194M

If you are not auto-enrolled in the course by the first day of lecture, you should attend the first day to see if it will be possible for you to crash the course. 

2.) Courses that will use a NON AUTO ENROLL:

2, 4, 130, 139, 145X-01 (MW 5-6:45pm), 152, 171, 172, 173, 196E, 196F, 196H

For these courses the instructor will prioritize the wait list based on their own criteria and will issue permission codes to students for available spots on the first day of lecture. A student’s rank/position on the wait list does NOT necessarily determine the order in which permission codes will be given. Students must attend the first day of lecture to find out if they will be selected to receive a permission code to add the class.

3) Anthropology courses not listed above will NOT have an online wait list. For these courses, if you are trying to crash, you should email the instructor and attend the first day of lecture.
